Skin On Chip
A novel Skin-on-Chip Model for permeation and absorption studies
By mimicking the structure and function of the skin in a controlled and dynamic environment, our skin-on-chip model provides a powerful tool for studying the skin’s response to various stimuli, including drugs, toxins, and environmental factors.
This Skin-on-Chip model provides a more realistic, completely humanized and physiologically relevant environment that better mimics the in vivo conditions for studying the effect of different cosmetic and pharmaceutical products on the skin and developing more accurate and personalized treatments for various skin diseases. Its innovative configuration is designed to comply with OECD 428 for in vitro skin absorption testing and can also be adapted for cosmetic and medical device applications.
Applications
Claim Substantiation
To objectivate, validate and support product claims with scientific evidence through precise, reliable and reproducible testing on humanized models.
Efficacy Testing
To test the efficacy of active ingredients or formulations for cosmetics and medical devices, studying how they interact with human skin cells.
Mechanistic Insights
To gain a deep understanding of how bioactive molecules function in human body, studying their pathways and effects at a cellular level.
OECD 428
To perform transdermal absorption studies in accordance with OECD 428 guidelines, providing reliable and regulatory-standard data for safety assessments
Pre-screening
To screen and select the most promising molecules before animal or human testing, offering valuable data for product development while saving time and costs.
Toxicity Testing
To identify potentially harmful effects on specific organs, including evaluating cytotoxicity from the dosage of natural ingredients, mitigating risks.
