Covid19 and heart: an advanced in vitro research on infection mechanism
Cardio-Cov, a research project funded by Regione Lombardia and led by Centro Cardiologico Monzino in collaboration with INMI Lazzaro Spallanzani and React4Life, investigates how SARS-CoV-2 affects the heart. Using React4Life’s MIVO® organ-on-chip technology, the project models cardiac inflammation and fibrosis to identify new cardioprotective therapies against COVID-19.
